What is BFLL?
BFLL is a research based Degenerative and Metabolic Clinic. We work specifically on conditions like obesity, joint degeneration, diabetes, and PMOS/PCOS through a data-driven clinical model. Exercise, where applied, is a therapeutic intervention, not fitness training.
BFLL is a research based Degenerative and Metabolic Clinic. We do not treat the site of pain. We investigate why the condition exists in the first place, through functional pathology, biological markers, and longitudinal data. A knee pain patient at BFLL is not just assessed for structural issues. They are assessed for metabolic contributors, inflammatory markers, nutritional deficiencies, and movement dysfunction together, as a complete clinical picture. That is what drives the intervention.
Yes. BFLL is ISO 9001:2015 certified. This means our clinical and operational processes are independently audited for quality.

Programmes and Plans
No referral is needed. You can directly book an HHC First Assessment. The Holistic Health Consultant will review your health history and direct you to the right programme.
The HHC First Assessment is mandatory before enrolling in any programme at BFLL. This ensures your programme is built on a proper clinical foundation, not a generic template.
Yes. Our Metabolic Health Management programme is designed for conditions like obesity, insulin resistance, PMOS/PCOS, and fatty liver. However, we do not approach these as weight loss programmes alone. We address the underlying metabolic dysfunction. Weight improvement is a result of correcting the root cause.
Our primary model is in-clinic. For specific follow-up scenarios, the HHC may communicate via supported channels. Please book an in clinic First Assessment first.
It depends on your clinical picture. The HHC will assess what combination of pillars you need. Some patients begin with nutrition only. Others require a combined approach from day one. This is decided after the First Assessment.

The Holistic Health Consultant and Doctor Questions
Soumick Mondal Raj is the Founder and CEO of BFLL and serves as the primary Holistic Health Consultant. He leads all First Assessments, clinical programme design, and patient outcome tracking at BFLL.
Soumick Mondal Raj is a Holistic Health Consultant, not a medical doctor. In 2026, the biggest gap in healthcare is not the absence o doctors. It is the absence of someone who can look at a patient as a whole and identify everything that is going on, not just the single complaint they walked in with. A specialist doctor works within their domain. An orthopaedic surgeon looks at the joint. An endocrinologist looks at hormones. A cardiologist looks at the heart. But in most cases, one individual carries multiple conditions simultaneously, and those conditions are connected. That connection is what gets missed when a patient moves from one specialist to another. The role of the Holistic Health Consultant is to bridge that gap, unify the clinical picture, and guide the patient in exactly the right direction.
At BFLL, the first clinical contact is always the HHC, not the physician. The HHC First Assessment identifies the complete picture first, understands what each condition requires, and then determines whether a physician consultation is needed and which specialist is most relevant. Jumping to a doctor consultation before this assessment means you may be addressing only one part of a much larger picture.
Yes. Physician consultation is available at BFLL but is conditional on the patient's clinical profile. Depending on what the HHC Assessment reveals, the HHC may recommend consultation with a gynaecologist, orthopaedic specialist, endocrinologist, cardiologist, or ENT specialist. This recommendation is specific to your condition, not generic.
You can, and many people do. But what we consistently observe is that patients who go directly to a single specialist get a diagnosis and treatment for that one area, while other contributing factors remain undetected. The HHC Assessment at BFLL exists specifically to prevent that from happening.
The HHC reviews your complete health history, existing reports, current symptoms, lifestyle, and metabolic profile to build a unified clinical picture. Based on that picture, the HHC identifies root causes, determines the scope of intervention required across the four pillars, and decides whether physician involvement is needed and at what stage. The HHC also plays a critical role in patient education, because awareness of your own condition is the foundation of any successful intervention.

Specific Conditions
Yes. Many patients who have been advised knee replacement have significantly improved their condition and postponed or avoided surgery through our TST CC programme combined with metabolic correction. The HHC will assess your reports and examination findings to tell you what is clinically possible in your case. We strongly recommend booking a First Assessment before making any surgical decisions.
Yes, we frequently manage disc-related conditions, such as disc bulges, protrusions, and associated nerve symptoms, through corrective exercise, physiotherapy, and addressing metabolic factors that contribute to inflammation. The HHC will evaluate your MRI and clinical history, and in critical cases, will collaborate with the Orthopaedic team.
Medication changes are always under the supervision of your physician. What we do is work on the lifestyle, nutritional, and metabolic side of diabetes management, which can lead to significant improvement in your numbers over time. Any medication reduction is then a conversation between you and your doctor based on your improved reports.
Yes. PMOS/PCOS is one of the core metabolic conditions we address through the MHM programme. We work on insulin resistance, hormonal balance through nutrition and lifestyle correction, and where relevant, corrective exercise for associated musculoskeletal symptoms.
Please book an HHC First Assessment and bring the relevant reports. The HHC will assess whether BFLL is the right clinical setting for the case or whether a referral to a specialist is more appropriate.

Cost and Duration
Our programs are structured systematically. The investment varies based on your clinical profile, the number of pillars needed, and the duration of the program. After your First Assessment, the HHC will provide you with a comprehensive overview. Would you like assistance in booking a time slot?
This varies by condition and goal. Therapeutic programmes typically run for a minimum of three to six months. Metabolic, Musculoskeletal and physiotherapy programmes are planned in phases based on assessment findings. A specific timeline will be shared after your First Assessment.
The HHC First Assessment is a paid clinical consultation. It generates a written First Assessment Report documenting your health profile within 48 working hours, pathological findings, and HHC recommendations. This is not a trial or promotional session.

Location, Logistics and Home Services
We have two branches. One in Naktala, Kolkata, and one in Salt Lake, Kolkata. Which branch would be more convenient for you?
Consultations are available from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We work on a pre-booked appointment basis. Walk-ins are not available for consultations.
If you have recent blood reports, please bring them along. If not, the HHC will advise you on which tests to get after the First Assessment. BFLL works with certified diagnostic labs.
Home services are available at BFLL but are conditional and not available as a standard offering. Home physiotherapy is considered only for patients who are critically immobile and genuinely unable to travel to the clinic. It is also subject to distance and kilometre limits from our Naktala and Salt Lake branches. Even in cases where home service is being considered, the process still begins with a call consultation. A BFLL representative will connect with you first, and based on that, a virtual consultation with the Holistic Health Consultant will be scheduled at a fixed and confirmed time. This step is non negotiable.
No. Every case at BFLL, including home physiotherapy, begins with a call consultation followed by an HHC First Assessment. The HHC needs to understand the full scope of your condition before any intervention is assigned or delivered.
You can still come, but the quality and clarity of your assessment depends significantly on the reports you carry. Pathological and radiological reports are essential for the HHC to build an accurate clinical picture. Without them, te diagnosis remains incomplete and the prognosis cannot be clearly defined. The HHC will advise you on exactly which tests are needed after your assessment.
