DOCTOR REFERRAL AND PROTOCOL FAQ
The process at BFLL always begins with an HHC First Assessment, regardless of the referral source. The HHC will review your referral letter, existing reports, and clinical history to understand what your doctor has recommended and what BFLL can contribute. The First Assessment is available from 3 PM to 7 PM. We recommend booking within the next 1 day so your care is not delayed.
Yes, please bring everything you have. Referral letter, prescriptions, recent blood reports, MRI or X-ray films or digital copies, discharge summaries if you have been hospitalised, and any other clinical documents. The more complete your documentation, the more precise the HHC's assessment and plan will be.
No. Even with a doctor's referral for physiotherapy, the process at BFLL begins with an HHC First Assessment. The HHC reviews the referral, your reports, and your overall clinical picture before the physiotherapy team is engaged. Physiotherapy at BFLL is not an isolated service. It is part of a four-pillar clinical model.
Yes, where clinically appropriate. The HHC maintains awareness of what your treating physician has prescribed and ensures that BFLL's intervention complements rather than conflicts with your medical management. BFLL does not contact your doctor independently without your involvement.
If your doctor wishes to coordinate on your case, this can be arranged. Please inform the front desk and provide your doctor's contact details. The HHC will facilitate the communication through appropriate channels.
Yes, in both scenarios. Pre-surgical intervention at BFLL focuses on optimising your metabolic and physical condition before the procedure. Post-surgical rehabilitation through BFLL's TST CC programme combines
physiotherapy with progressive therapeutic strength training to restore function safely. Many patients advised
surgery have been able to postpone or avoid the procedure entirely through sustained clinical intervention.
BFLL respects all medical prescriptions and does not override them. The HHC will review your prescription and ensure that BFLL's intervention is fully aligned and non conflicting. If any element of the prescription intersects with BFLL's clinical protocols, the HHC will discuss this with you transparently before proceeding.
At BFLL, the first clinical contact is always the HHC, not the physician. The physician is engaged when your case requires medical co management, which is a decision the HHC makes after the First Assessment. The HHC First Assessment is the most important first step. Book your slot between 3 PM and 7 PM and we will take it from there.
